The course aims to provide knowledge and equip students with the quality control standards for production of apparels to meet international standards in the garment manufacturing industry

By the end of the course students will be able to;

·        identify the standards for quality in textile usage that give a garment a professional, finished look.

·        identify the standards for quality in the visual design of a custom garment based on the principles and how they act upon the elements

·        identify the standards for quality clothing construction that give a garment a professional, finished look.

·        identify the standards for quality fit that give a garment a professional, finished look.





The course aims equipping students with the skills of drawing the human body in good proportion giving attention to individual parts of the body. The acquisition of this skill will promote accuracy in fashion figure illustrations.


The course is designed to address the creative and innovative activities of the student towards the designing of decorated fabrics to register ideas on paper, which would be used by the production unit for decorating fabrics by using appliqué, embroidery, patchwork and quitted techniques. Students at the end of the study should able to identify the various fabrics decoration. Students will transfer the knowledge they have acquired in the methods of constructing patched, appliqué and embroidered fabrics.

The course aims to provide knowledge and skills to enhance marketability of goods produced in the industry. To develop understanding of Marketing and its Mechanisms. To provide knowledge of converting the art of garment construction into the business of fashion
